The Bangladesh women’s cricket team was last involved in a home series against India which included a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series. India clinched the T20I series, while the home side managed to draw the ODI series.
Next up, they will participate in the 19th Asian Games which will take place in Hangzhou, China. The Asian Games will commence on 19th September 2023 and it will conclude on 8th October 2023. A total number of 14 teams, namely, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Nepal, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bhutan, Oman, and Singapore will be competing for a gold medal in the upcoming Asian Games in China.
India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh have directly secured a place in the quarterfinals courtesy of their position in the ICC Rankings. The remaining 10 teams will be competing for the last four spots to get into the quarter-finals. The tournament will be played in the T20I format.

The Bangladesh Women’s cricket team has announced their squad ahead of the upcoming 19th edition of the Asian Games in China. The 26-year-old wicket-keeper batter Nigar Sultana Joty will be leading the Bangladesh women’s team during the Asian Games 2023.
