Sakshi Shetty
The 18-year-old all-rounder, from 18 T20I appearances, averaging 19.94 and striking at 84.32, has amassed 339 runs, including the highest of 71*. Sakshi, with a string of starts, struggled for runs in the June (2023) ACC T20 Championship and will be backed to find her footing in this competition and then convert her starts into match-winning knocks.
Priyanka Mendonca
The 23-year-old all-rounder has accumulated 266 runs, including the highest of 48*, from 18 outings, and scalped 15 wickets from 14 innings. With successive scores of 48* and 45*, and 3 wickets from as many games, Priyanka was outstanding in Oman’s most recent T20I outing dated June ’23. It’ll be hoped she replicates the same success.
Mai Yanagida
The 31-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, from 28 outings, has posted 196 runs on the board and also struck 11 wickets, including the best of 2/8, from 21 innings. In a recent Tri-Series, Mai came close to registering a new career-best (36*), but fell 4 short, and barring that inning, didn’t find much success with the bat. Her contributions will remain vital.
Ahilya Chandel
The 21-year-old all-rounder amassed 214 runs and bagged 16 wickets from 19 T20I outings, including respective bests of 28* and 4/12. Ahilya was effective with the ball and amongst wickets in the Tri-Series late last year; however, she failed to convert her batting starts. The team will count on her to step up and deliver the goods.
