Zimbabwe’s 20-year-old all-rounder Kelis Ndhlovu celebrated a personal milestone, her 100th international appearance, during the second T20I against the West Indies on 5 October 2026, even as the visitors clinched the three-match series with a game to spare. Opening alongside Beloved Biza, Ndhlovu contributed 25 off 28 balls in a 46-run stand before leg-spinner Afy Fletcher removed her in the ninth over, as Zimbabwe posted 106/7 and ultimately ended up on the losing side by eight wickets.

Stand-in West Indies captain Chinelle Henry won the toss and elected to field, inviting Zimbabwe to bat first at Takashinga Sports Club, Harare. Ndhlovu and Biza gave their side a composed platform, with Biza making 35 off 35 and Ndhlovu striking a couple of boundaries and a maximum during her 25-run knock. Fletcher’s breakthrough in the ninth over shifted momentum toward the tourists, who chased down the target comfortably to go 2-0 up in the series.

Kelis Ndhlovu’s journey to 100 internationals began on 20 April 2022, when she made her T20I debut against Namibia in Windhoek. Since then, she has evolved into Zimbabwe’s third-highest T20I run-scorer, amassing 1,312 runs at an average of 20.82 and a strike rate of 98.57 across 72 innings, including four half-centuries in 75 matches.

Her finest T20I innings arrived on 6 September 2025 against Namibia in Windhoek, where she smashed an unbeaten 70 off 52 balls, featuring 11 fours and a six, while opening with wicket-keeper batter Modester Mupachikwa in a successful chase of 116; Zimbabwe won by nine wickets with 21 balls remaining, and Ndhlovu was named Player of the Match in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Region Division One Qualifier, underlining her big-match temperament.

With the ball, the left-arm orthodox spinner has been equally influential, claiming 44 wickets at an average of 19.79 and an economy of 5.89 in 47 T20I innings across 75 matches. In ODIs, where she debuted on 19 April 2023 against Thailand in Bangkok, Ndhlovu has scored 526 runs at 22.86 with a strike rate of 59.43 in 25 innings, including four fifties in 25 matches, while taking 19 wickets at 19.36 and an economy of 3.57 in 13 innings, highlighted by a five-wicket haul.

Zimbabwe, led by Josephine Nkomo, are hosting the West Indies in a historic white-ball bilateral series spanning three ODIs and three T20Is from 24 September to 7 October 2026. The visitors took the ODI series 2-1 and now lead the T20I leg 2-0. The finale, the 3rd T20I, is scheduled for 7 October 2026 at Takashinga Sports Club, Harare, with a 3:30 PM IST start.

For Kelis Ndhlovu, reaching 100 caps at just 20 underscores her centrality to Zimbabwe’s plans, even as the side looks to end the series on a high note in front of home supporters.
