North Delhi Strikers Crowned Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026 Champions

North Delhi Strikers Women lifted the Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026 trophy after beating South Delhi Superstarz Women by six wickets in the final at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. South Delhi, who won the toss and chose to bat, scored 122 for six in their 20 overs. North Delhi then chased 123 and reached 128 for four in 19 overs. North Delhi’s bowlers had first kept the total under control.

South Delhi did not get the start they wanted as Priya Punia was run out for a duck from the second ball. Tanishqa Singh tried to settle the innings and scored 12 from 18 balls before Reshika Beniwal dismissed her. Tanisha Singh added 21 from 25 balls, hitting three fours, but Priya Mishra removed her in the ninth over. At 45 for two, South Delhi needed a partnership. North Delhi kept the pressure on and kept the scoring rate down.

Captain Shweta Sehrawat took charge in the middle and scored 31 from 32 balls with three fours. Nazma Khan dismissed her in the 16th over. Disha Nagar made seven from eight balls before falling to Archana, while Kashish scored four from six. Nishika Singh remained unbeaten on 39 from 30 balls. She hit four fours and a six, while Ekta Bhadana made two not out from one ball. South Delhi needed more runs from the final overs.

North Delhi’s bowling was a key reason South Delhi could not reach a bigger score. Reshika Beniwal took one wicket for 18 runs in three overs, while Apeksha Anand gave away only 13 runs in four overs. Priya Mishra finished with one wicket for 21 runs, Nazma Khan took one for 35, and Archana claimed one for 14 from three overs. Shivani Jangid bowled two overs for 18 without a wicket. South Delhi finished on 122 for six.

Upasana Yadav made nine from eight balls before Roopali Vishwa dismissed her, and Shivi Sharma scored two from six balls before Tanisha Singh took her wicket. North Delhi were 15 for two, giving South Delhi hope of defending the total. Captain Ayushi Soni and Archana, however, stayed calm and built an important partnership. Their stand brought North Delhi back into control. The pair made sure the required runs did not become a major problem.

Ayushi played a valuable captain’s innings and scored 43 from 39 balls with three fours. She was run out after helping North Delhi move into a strong position. Archana continued to attack and made 40 from 36 balls, hitting four fours and a six. She was later stumped by Nishika Singh off Ekta Bhadana. South Delhi needed quick wickets, but North Delhi had already done most of the difficult work. The chase was now firmly in their hands.

Nazma Khan then finished the final without allowing late pressure to build. She remained unbeaten on 24 from 19 balls, hitting four fours. Samaira Raghav supported her with an unbeaten seven from six balls, including a six. North Delhi reached 128 for four in 19 overs and won the final by six wickets. Roopali Vishwa, Tanisha Singh and Ekta Bhadana were among the South Delhi bowlers to take wickets during the chase. Their efforts were not enough.

South Delhi had contributions from Shweta Sehrawat and Nishika Singh, but 122 for six was not enough. North Delhi showed good character after losing two early wickets. Ayushi and Archana put together the partnership that changed the match, before Nazma completed the job. North Delhi held their nerve when the final was still open. With the six-wicket win, they finished as Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026 champions. The final showed their balance between bowling and batting under pressure overall. South Delhi were very competitive, but North Delhi handled the key moments better today.
