Tanzania Women began their innings aggressively despite losing captain Neema Pius without troubling the scorers. Wittmann paced her innings superbly, mixing caution with aggression before accelerating through the middle overs. She remained unbeaten on 53 from 44 deliveries, striking eight fours and one six to register a well-deserved half-century. At the other end, Mwatile played the perfect supporting role, finishing 42 not out from 37 balls, including seven boundaries, as the pair comfortably guided Namibia to 96/1 in just 13.5 overs.
Tanzania’s bowlers found little assistance while defending the small total. Agnes Qwele claimed the only wicket and ended with 1 for 15 from three overs. Sheila Kizito conceded 14 runs in 1.5 overs, while Perice Kamunya returned figures of 0 for 14 in two overs.
