As the competition approaches its sixth edition (21 July–16 August 2026), a look back at the leading run-getters reveals players who combine power, timing and tournament awareness. These five batters have not only been consistent contributors for their franchises, but they have also shaped match outcomes and made The Hundred a showcase of top-class T20 batting in the women’s game.
1223 Runs – Nat Sciver-Brunt (TR):
She sits atop the run charts, her tally of 1,223 runs in 36 innings underlining a blend of aggression and dependability. The England captain has been with Trent Rockets since 2021 and is the tournament’s highest run-scorer, striking at 139.77 with a healthy average of 45.29. Sciver-Brunt has converted form into big contributions across 37 matches, compiling ten half-centuries and producing a career-best 81* off 41 balls at Lord’s on 12 August 2023 while leading from the front. That unbeaten 81, nine fours and four sixes, came in a tense run chase and earned her Player of the Match as Trent Rockets chased 125 with five wickets in hand.
Her 2024 campaign remains the benchmark for tournament consistency, when she topped the season’s charts with 303 runs at a strike rate of 137.10 and an average of 60.60 in eight innings. Sciver-Brunt’s blend of leadership and finishing skill keeps her central to Trent Rockets’ plans as the competition returns.
1146 Runs – Danielle Wyatt-Hodge (SB):
She has been one of The Hundred’s most reliable top-order power hitters since 2021, amassing 1,146 runs in 43 innings at a strike rate of 132.94 and an average of 28.65. Wyatt-Hodge has registered nine fifties across 43 matches, and her match-winning temperament was evident from the tournament’s earliest days: on 30 July 2021 she smashed an unbeaten 69 off 40 balls against Birmingham Phoenix at Southampton, guiding Southern Brave to an eight-wicket victory and collecting Player of the Match honours.
Her best seasonal return came in 2023 when she topped the tournament with 295 runs at a strike rate above 141, cementing her reputation as a player for the big moments. Ahead of the sixth edition, Wyatt-Hodge has moved to MI London (formerly The Oval Invincibles), where her experience and explosive opening role will be prized.
1065 Runs – Sophia Dunkley (SB/WF):
She has been a versatile run machine for two franchises, beginning at Southern Brave before switching to Welsh Fire for the last three seasons. Her 1,065 runs in 39 innings come at a strike rate of 128.62 and an average of 31.32, featuring seven fifties in 40 matches. Dunkley’s blend of timing and power produced a standout unbeaten 69 off 47 balls for Welsh Fire at Old Trafford in 2024, on 25th July, a composed chase that earned her Player of the Match as her side secured victory by seven wickets.
Her best overall season form came in 2023 when she scored 262 runs at a strike rate of 138.62. For the upcoming edition, she joins Trent Rockets, adding depth and attacking options to their top order.
1036 Runs – Laura Wolvaardt (MSG/SRL/SB):
Wolvaardt’s classy presence at the top has delivered 1,036 runs in 35 innings at a strike rate of 125.12 and an average of 38.37, with five fifties across 36 appearances. The South African has been mobile across franchises, Sunrisers Leeds (formerly Northern Superchargers), Manchester Super Giants (formerly Manchester Originals) and most recently Southern Brave.
Her career-best came on 21 August 2022 when she strode to 90* off 49 balls in a textbook chase at Leeds, collecting Player of the Match as Northern Superchargers wrapped up a seven-wicket win against Manchester Originals (now Manchester Super Giants). Wolvaardt’s 2022 campaign is also notable: she finished as that season’s top run-scorer with 286 runs at an average over 70, showcasing elite temperament in pressure chases. Southern Brave will again benefit from her measured aggressiveness in the upcoming edition.
825 Runs – Tammy Beaumont (LS/WF):
She combines experience and power, totalling 825 runs in 36 innings at a strike rate of 121.86 and an average of 25, with a century and a pair of fifties in 36 matches. Beaumont wrote herself into tournament history as The Hundred’s first centurion, a spectacular 118 off 61 balls for Welsh Fire against Trent Rockets at Cardiff on 14 August 2023 that featured 20 fours and a couple of maximums.
Her 2023 season remains her finest, finishing with 290 runs at a blistering 153.43 strike rate and an average of 41.42. Having moved from London Spirit to Welsh Fire earlier in the competition’s history, she will turn out for Birmingham Phoenix in the upcoming sixth edition, where her experience at the top will be key to providing early impetus.
These five players have defined The Hundred’s batting narrative through consistency, match-winning innings and tournament-defining milestones.
As franchises, including rebranded MI London, Sunrisers Leeds and Manchester Super Giants, prepare for the sixth edition, those proven run-scorers will once more be favourites to tilt the competition in tight encounters, while other teams hunt for the next rising star to join this elite list.
