Malaysia U19 produced one of the most dominant bowling displays of the ACC Women’s U19 Premier Cup 2026, dismissing Kuwait U19 for just 29 before completing a comfortable seven-wicket victory in 7.1 overs at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval in Kuala Lumpur. After opting to field first, the hosts made full use of the conditions, with Suabika Manivannan’s outstanding spell of 4/4 setting up the win that earned her the Player of the Match award.

Raelyn Maria 0(4), Pearl Serena 0(1), captain Candice Jerica 0(2), Sahasra Nadimpalli 0(1), Kaelyn Ruth Pinto 0(1), Ayesha Iqbal Pewekar 0(5), Alina Sarah 0(8) and Swatiba Kuldeepsinh 0(2) all fell cheaply as Kuwait collapsed. Their total was lifted only by nine extras, including eight wides.

She struck again immediately to remove Raelyn Maria, before bowling Pearl Serena for a first-ball duck as Kuwait slipped to 16/3. Captain Candice Jerica was then run out, and Suabika claimed her fourth wicket by dismissing Sahasra Nadimpalli, reducing Kuwait to 19/5. The wickets continued to tumble. Nurin Imanina Mohd Ikrimah entered the attack to have Kaelyn Ruth Pinto stumped before trapping Ayesha Iqbal Pewekar lbw for . Zeefa Jilani’s resistance finally ended when she scored 17(47), while Nuralia Natijah Mansor cleaned up the tail by dismissing Alina Sasand Swatiba Kuldeepsinh for 0(2). Angela Mary was left unbeaten on 1(5) as Kuwait were bowled out for 29 in 14.4 overs.
Malaysia’s bowlers were relentless throughout the innings. Suabika Manivannan starred with exceptional figures of 4/4 from four overs, conceding just one run per over while ripping through the middle order. Nurin Imanina Mohd Ikrimah returned equally impressive figures of 2/6 from four overs, while Nuralia Natijah Mansor wrapped up the innings with 3/1 in just 1.4 overs. Nur Qalysha Noreffendi (0/7), Aina Umaira Amin (0/8) and Irdina Beh Nabil (0/2) also kept the pressure on with disciplined spells.
Chasing a target of just 30, Malaysia suffered an early setback when wicketkeeper Nur Aliya Binti Mohd Hairun was bowled by Angel Gabriella for 0(2). Nuralia Natijah Mansor added 5(11) before also falling to Angel, while captain Irdina Beh Nabil was trapped lbw for 0(3). However, Nazatul Hidayah Husna Razali ensured there would be no further drama. The opener remained unbeaten on 20(27), striking two boundaries and anchoring the chase with composure. Nurin Imanina Mohd Ikrimah finished unbeaten on 0 as Malaysia reached 30/3 in 7.1 overs to seal victory with plenty of overs to spare.
Angel Gabriella emerged as Kuwait’s lone bright spot, producing an excellent spell of 3/9 from her four overs to claim all three Malaysian wickets. Candice Jerica finished with 0/7 from two overs, Raelyn Maria returned 0/10, while Pearl Serena conceded three runs in the only ball she bowled.
Despite Angel’s spirited effort with the ball, Kuwait’s batting collapse had already put the result beyond doubt. Malaysia’s disciplined bowling attack, led by Suabika Manivannan, laid the platform for a straightforward chase as the hosts secured a comprehensive seven-wicket win to continue their strong campaign in the tournament.
