India produced a strong all-round performance and won the match by 95 runs. Along with a big batting total and a strong bowling show, their fielding was also sharp and full of energy.

India scored 209/5 in 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana made 74 off 47 balls, Shafali Verma hit 55 off 38 balls, and Richa Ghosh stayed not out on 20 off 8 balls. Deepti Sharma added a quick 10 not out from just 2 balls to finish the innings strongly.

Netherlands were bowled out for 114 in 17.3 overs. Shree Charani took 4 wickets and Shafali Verma took 3 wickets as India controlled the match from start to finish.

Fielding coach Munish Bali praised the team after the match. “Back-to-back wins, girls well done,” he said. “Excellent energy. Throwing was very good from deep, and we again took six catches.”

He added, “Jemi (Jemimah Rodrigues) took three catches, Smriti Mandhana took two catches, and Richa took one catch and two stumpings.” He also said, “Especially the one she affected on Nandni’s bowling.”

He further added, “She was standing up to the pacer and still affected a stumping off a bouncer. Well done.”

He also said there were “three nominees” for the award — Jemimah Rodrigues, Smriti Mandhana, and Richa Ghosh.

India’s fielding stayed very active throughout the innings. The players saved runs, took chances cleanly, and supported the bowlers well to keep full control of the match.

Richa Ghosh, who kept wickets, played an important role behind the stumps. She took one catch and completed two stumpings. Her quick hands and alert wicketkeeping helped India stop Netherlands from building partnerships.

S&C coach Nicholas Trevor Lee presented the award and praised Richa. He said, “Anyone who has been around cricket long enough knows that it is a tough game, so when you do well, it is really important that you celebrate a good day.”

“Last Sunday there were 20,000 people at Edgbaston chanting this girl’s name for her batting, but today she got the spotlight for her keeping and catching.”

He further said, “I present Richa with the fielding medal,” and added that it was “the reflection of the hard work she has put in on and off the field in the last few months.” He concluded, “Well done, Richa.”

The dressing room environment was very good, with positive energy, strong bonding, and great support from players, staff, and management.

Richa’s sharp wicketkeeping, one catch, and two stumpings made her the standout in the field as India continued their strong winning run in the tournament.
