The two teams have had very different seasons so far. Lancashire Women are currently ninth in the points table with 10 points from nine matches. They have managed just two wins and suffered seven defeats. The Blaze Women, on the other hand, have been the best team in the competition. Players to watch out:

Eve Jones

Eve Jones has been Lancashire’s standout batter this season. She is currently one of the leading run-scorers in the tournament with 485 runs from nine innings at an average of 53.88. Her impressive season includes one century and three half-centuries, with a highest score of 113. Jones has regularly given Lancashire strong starts and will once again be a key player at the top of the order.

Kate Cross

The experienced England fast bowler has been leading Lancashire’s bowling attack this season. Cross has taken 14 wickets in nine matches, including best figures of 4/38, while maintaining an economy rate of 4.55. Her ability to bowl accurately with the new ball and in the death overs makes her one of Lancashire’s most important players. Cross also brings plenty of international experience.

Georgia Elwiss

Georgia Elwiss has played an important role in The Blaze’s strong campaign. The experienced all-rounder has scored 330 runs in eight innings at an average of 47.14, including three half-centuries. Her best figures of 5/49 show how effective she can be when she finds her rhythm. Phillips has consistently provided breakthroughs for The Blaze and will be a major threat to Lancashire’s batting line-up.

Pitch:

The pitch at Stanley Park is usually very good for batting. The surface is generally flat and allows batters to play their shots freely once they get settled. Bowlers often have to work hard for wickets because there is usually not much help from the pitch. The fast outfield also helps batters score runs quickly when they find the gaps.

Weather:

Temperatures are expected to be around 20°C during the afternoon and around 14°C later in the day. There is only a small chance of rain, with partial sunshine expected for most of the match. One factor that could influence the game is the wind, which is expected to blow at around 26 km/h.

Fantasy Playing XI:

Eve Jones, Georgia Elwiss, Emma Lamb, Tammy Beaumont, Sarah Bryce, Kathryn Bryce, Orla Prendergast, Heather Graham, Kate Cross, Charley Phillips, Sarah Glenn
