Known for her aggressive batting approach and ability to score quickly, Juairiya developed a reputation as a positive stroke-maker capable of taking on bowlers from the outset. Her performances in domestic and youth cricket helped her establish herself as a promising wicketkeeping prospect, combining attacking batting with dependable work behind the stumps. After impressing at junior level, she was rewarded with selection for Bangladesh Women in early 2026, marking another step in her rapid progression through the national pathway.
Juairiya Ferdous’ International Career
Juairiya made her WT20I debut for Bangladesh against the United States during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in January 2026 and quickly showed signs of her potential. Despite being at the beginning of her international journey, she adapted well to senior cricket and established herself as a promising option in Bangladesh’s batting group. One of her breakthrough performances came during the same tournament when she scored her maiden international half-century against Thailand, making 56 runs off 45 balls. Her ability to find boundaries consistently and maintain a strike rate above 100 has provided Bangladesh with a valuable attacking option in the top order.
In WT20Is, Juairiya has scored 183 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 114.37, including 18 fours and 7 sixes, while also contributing behind the stumps with 2 catches and 1 stumping. Her boundary-hitting ability stands out among Bangladesh’s younger batters and offers a different dimension to the side’s batting lineup. She also made her ODI debut against Sri Lanka in April 2026, further underlining the confidence selectors have shown in her potential across formats.
As Bangladesh continue to build towards the upcoming T20 World Cup, Juairiya represents an exciting long-term prospect. Her fearless batting approach, wicketkeeping skills and ability to score at a brisk rate make her one of the players to watch in Bangladesh women’s cricket.
