Uganda, led by skipper Janet Mbabazi were up against the USA, led by skipper Aditiba Chudasama, on 12th April 2026 at the Entebbe Cricket Ground in the ongoing edition of the Easter Women’s T20 Cup 2026.

Uganda are fresh off a comprehensive 39-run win against Uganda A in their previous clash, earlier in the day. The Uganda skipper, Janet Mbabazi, won the toss and opted to bat first in the game against the USA. Skipper Janet Mbabazi (6 off 6 balls) was yet again sent back to the pavilion cheaply, courtesy of a run-out in the 2nd over of the innings.
Immaculate Nakisuuyi joined Stephanie Nampiina at the crease, and the duo steadied the ship with a much-needed 25-run partnership for the 2nd wicket. Ritu Singh broke the stand by sending Stephanie Nampiina (20 off 19 balls) back to the pavilion in the 6th over of the innings, to provide the crucial 2nd breakthrough for the USA.
Rita Musamali joined Immaculate Nakisuuyi at the crease, and the duo stitched a massive 61-run partnership for the 3rd wicket, which also took them closer to the 100-run mark, setting a platform for a power-packed finish. Taranum Chopra cleaned up Immaculate Nakisuuyi (35 off 30 balls) to provide the much-needed breakthrough for her side in the 16th over of the innings. Taranum Chopra struck again to remove Rita Musamali (26 off 37 balls) in the same over to get her side back into the contest.
A 26-run partnership between Proscovia Alako (9* off 10 balls) and Esther Iloku (17 off 15 balls) took them past the 120-run mark. Uganda eventually finished at 124/6 in their quota of 20 overs. Taranum Chopra (4-0-18-2), skipper Aditiba Chudasama (4-0-22-2), and Ritu Singh (4-0-21-1) were the top performers with the ball for the USA.
Chasing a target of 125, the USA openers Sainavi Kambalapalli and Nikhar Doshi got their side off to a cautious start with a 15-run opening stand. Consylate Aweko provided the first breakthrough for Uganda by sending Sainavi Kambalapalli (13 off 16 balls) in the 4th over of the innings.
The 17-run partnership for the 4th wicket between Pooja Ganesh (6 off 16 balls) and Isani Vaghela (14 off 16 balls) proved to be the highest partnership of the run chase, and the Aditiba Chudasama-led side were unable to infuse momentum into the innings and get a partnership going. As a result, they were eventually bundled out for 59 with four overs to spare, falling 65 runs short of the target.
Uganda were disciplined with their bowling, conceding just 3 runs in extras. Consylate Aweko (3-0-13-3) and Sarah Akiteng (4-0-12-4) dismantled the USA batting department. Immaculate Nakisuuyi (3-0-8-1) and skipper Janet Mbabazi (2-0-9-1) played their part with the ball for Uganda. Sarah Akiteng was awarded the Player of the Match for her match-defining spell with the ball for her side.
