Lindsay Boas’ 5-Fer Helps Brazil Steamroll Mozambique for 19, Seal Victory in Just 13 Balls

The 18th match of the Kalahari Women’s T20I Tournament 2026 was a showcase of pure dominance by Brazil. In a game that lasted less than ten combined overs, Brazil dismantled Mozambique’s batting lineup for a meager score and chased it down in the blink of an eye. Winning by 9 wickets with a staggering 107 balls remaining, Brazil proved why they are the force to be reckoned with in this tournament.

Mozambique’s decision to bat first after winning the toss backfired almost immediately. They never found their footing against a relentless Brazilian bowling attack that squeezed the life out of the innings. The entire team was bundled out for just 19 runs in 7.3 overs. It was a chaotic collapse where only Rosalia Haiong reached a double-digit boundary, hitting a single four to finish with 4 runs.

The star of the show was undoubtedly Lindsay Boas, who delivered one of the most clinical spells of the tournament. She ripped through the Mozambique middle and lower order, finishing with extraordinary figures of 5 for 10 in 3.3 overs. She was well-supported by Nicole Monteiro, who was unplayable in her single over, claiming 3 wickets without conceding a single run.

Brazil’s chase was more of a sprint than a jog. Despite losing Lindsay Boas early for 8 runs—caught off the bowling of Angelica Salomao in the very first over—the result was never in doubt. Brazil needed only 13 deliveries to wrap things up, finishing at 20/1 in just 2.1 overs.

Maria Silva remained unbeaten on 8, including a boundary to seal the win, while Ana Sabino anchored the other end. It was a clinical, professional performance from the South American side, leaving Mozambique with plenty of questions to answer before their next outing.
