The USA women’s cricket team have named a 14-player squad for the Easter Women’s T20 Cup, set to take place in Entebbe from 9–15 April 2026, as they look to rebuild momentum following a challenging run of recent international results. The tri-series tournament, featuring Uganda and Uganda A, will be played at Entebbe Cricket Oval and serves as a key preparatory event for USA ahead of future ICC pathway competitions.

USA Women Squad for Easter T20 Cup 2026:
Aditiba Chudasama, Ritu Priya Singh, Sainavi Kambalapalli, Gargi Bhogle, Nikhar Doshi, Isani Mahesh Vaghela, Pooja Ganesh, Jivana Aras, Maahi Madhavan, Lekha Shetty, Chetna Reddy Pagydyala, Taranum Chopra, Aparna Gurumurthy, Suhani Thadani
The squad retains a familiar core, including captain Aditiba Chudasama and experienced all-rounders Ritu Singh and Gargi Bhogle, while also introducing emerging players as part of a broader transition phase.
USA’s most recent assignment came at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2026 in Nepal, where they competed against stronger Full Member opposition. Although results were mixed, the team showed glimpses of competitiveness, having earlier dominated the Americas Qualifier—where they topped the standings and secured progression to the global stage.
However, consistency has remained an issue. Losses in bilateral series against Zimbabwe and a 5-0 T20I sweep in the Netherlands exposed gaps in both batting depth and bowling execution, prompting a rethink in squad composition.
One of the most significant storylines surrounding this squad is the role of Isani Vaghela. The 20-year-old all-rounder has been included in the squad but will feature only as a batter, after being suspended from bowling in international cricket by the ICC earlier this year. Vaghela was reported during a match against Ireland in the Global Qualifier in Nepal, with the ICC’s Event Panel subsequently ruling her action illegal following a review of match footage.
As a result, she has been suspended from bowling until she undergoes reassessment and is cleared. Her inclusion as a specialist batter reflects both her value to the side and the limitations imposed by the suspension. USA will, however, feel the absence of her seam bowling, which had previously been a key component of their attack.
Another notable omission is Tara Norris, who was one of USA’s standout performers at the Global Qualifier, finishing as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 15 wickets. Her absence removes an experienced left-arm pace option and further underlines the experimental nature of this squad.
The inclusion of players such as Maahi Madhavan, Aparna Gurumurthy and Sainavi Kambalapalli signals a clear intent to build depth and provide exposure to younger talent. Several of these players were part of USA’s wider squads during the Nepal preparation series earlier this year, indicating continuity in the development pathway.
The Easter Women’s T20 Cup will be played in a five-day T20 format, offering USA a valuable opportunity to test combinations in subcontinental-style conditions. With matches coming in quick succession, squad rotation and adaptability will be crucial. As they take the field in Entebbe, USA will be aiming to strike a balance between development and competitiveness—using this platform to shape the next phase of their journey in women’s international cricket.
