Six Batters Score 40+ as Australia Women Set New Women’s ODI Record vs West Indies

In the 1st One-Day international between the Australian Women and the West Indian Women, the Australian batting unit achieved a remarkable feat. The Aussies have a star-studded batting side with the likes of Phoebe Litchfield, Ellyse Perry and Sophie Molineux. They were bowled out for 341 in the 1st innings of the match, and surprisingly, there was only one batter who scored a half-century. The batters put up a strong collective effort to put up a huge total on board, and for the first time in a women’s ODI innings, six players have scored 40+ runs. The Australian camp will be happy that their batting unit is performing collectively well and that it isn’t dependent on two or three players for big scores.
