New Zealand’s white-ball dominance over Zimbabwe, from a 3-0 T20I sweep to a ruthless ODI clean sweep between February 25 and March 11, 2026, has sparked a rankings surge for the White Ferns’ top talents on the latest ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings.

Skipper Amelia Kerr led the charge with a historic series, headlined by a seven-wicket masterclass in Dunedin that made her just the seventh woman and the 1st White Fern to claim seven or more wickets in an ODI. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s series win over West Indies (2-1 ODI, 2-0 T20I from February 20 to March 3) boosted their T20I stars, but its Kiwi fireworks lighting up the ODI charts less than three months before the T20 World Cup.

Bowling Rankings:

A host of New Zealand’s best white-ball stars have been the big winners on the latest update to the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings. It’s no surprise that new skipper Amelia Kerr is leading the way with both bat and ball. Kerr collected four wickets in the opening match of the series and then backed that up with a magnificent seven-wicket haul during the second contest in Dunedin.

Amelia Kerr ended as the leading wicket-taker of the series with 16 wickets at an average of 5.68 in three matches with the ball, which also had a five-wicket haul in the 3rd game of the series. That effort saw Kerr jump five places to 11th overall on the list for ODI bowlers.

England’s skipper, Nat Sciver-Brunt, has climbed up a couple of spots to the 46th position (393 points). New Zealand’s Rosemary Mair picked up a couple of wickets in a couple of innings with the ball for her side in the series. As a result, she has climbed up 7 spots to the 65th position (341 points). New Zealand’s Bree Illing picked up one wicket in three innings with the ball for her side in the series. As a result, she has climbed up 15 spots to the 84th position (284 points). Sri Lanka’s Inoshi Fernando climbed up one spot to the 100th position (244 points).

Batting Rankings:

Kerr wasn’t the only New Zealander to make gains following the conclusion of the white-ball series against Zimbabwe. Brooke Halliday (up eight rungs to 11th) and Maddy Green (up four spots to equal 22nd) both jumped the ODI batter charts following impressive performances with the bat.

Halliday smashed an unbelievable innings of 157* from just 117 balls in the series opener to display her qualities, while Green hit 67 in the same match and followed that up with an unbeaten 27* in the second fixture. These explosive knocks underscore New Zealand’s batting depth under Kerr’s leadership.

Isabella Gaze from New Zealand scored 97 runs in three innings with the bat for her side in the series. As a result, she has climbed up 9 spots to equal the 64th position (377 points) alongside Pakistan’s skipper Fatima Sana. Zimbabwe’s Kelis Ndhlovu has scored 64 runs in a couple of innings, including a half-century in a couple of innings. As a result, she has climbed up 9 spots to the 68th position (371 points).

All-rounder Rankings:

The talented 25-year-old Amelia Kerr also climbed one place to fifth on the list for ODI all-rounders, her dual threat embodying New Zealand’s series whitewash. Afy Fletcher from the West Indies has climbed up a couple of spots to the 41st position (107 points). Australia’s Tahlia McGrath has climbed up a couple of spots to equal the 42nd position (106 points).

The Zimbabwean skipper Nomvelo Sibanda has climbed up 6 spots to equal the 82nd position (63 points) alongside the UAE’s Michelle Botha. New Zealand’s Maddy Green has climbed up a couple of spots to equal the 100th position (47 points) alongside Ireland’s Aime Maguire and Zimbabwe’s Lindokuhle Mabhero.
