Ahead of the 2026 season of The Hundred, Welsh Fire have announced the signing of Australia’s Georgia Voll. Welsh Fire had a great run in the 2024 season as they finished as the runners-up in the tournament, but things took a massive hit in 2025. In 2025, they were at the bottom of the table with just one win from 8 matches. Georgia Voll could be a massive addition to their side as she would make the batting order look solid and her consistency would be key to their batting results.

Georgia Voll has only played one season in The Hundred, where she was picked by the Birmingham Phoenix as their top draft pick. She scored a total of 111 runs at a strike rate of 135.36, which was really impressive. She adds value and quality to any batting unit with her consistency at the top.
In her T20I career, she has scored 210 runs from 6 innings at a strike rate of 144.82. She has been quite the batter who converts starts into milestones as she accumulated two fifties from the 6 matches that she played. Her international experience could also come in handy for Welsh Fire considering their poor run of form.
Georgia Voll has been an impactful player in global franchise cricket leagues across the world like the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and Women’s Premier League (WPL). She started her career with the Brisbane Heat in 2020 and later moved to the Sydney Thunder in the 2024-25 season, which was considered to be her breakout season. She has scored over 1407 runs at a strike rate of 117.64 in the WBBL.
Her career-best knock came against Perth Scorchers, where she scored 97* off just 56 balls. In the WPL, she has played very few games across the 2025 season and the 2026 season, but she has been able to seize every opportunity she’s gotten. She even scored a mind-blowing 99 off 56 balls against RCB, which is the joint-highest individual score in WPL history. She has the ability to adapt to changing conditions and her temperament while batting proves to be crucial in high intensity matches and in case of collapses.
Georgia Voll’s aggressive batting style and her ability to perform under pressure will boost Welsh Fire. Her ability to rotate the strike and find the boundaries in different stages of an innings is a well-appreciated skill of hers. She has been in a good run of form in the WBBL and WPL and she also is a well-experienced player who has played in different environments across the globe, and she could play a huge role in finding the winning form for Welsh Fire.
