Udeshika Prabodhani’s International Career
Since then, Prabodhani has been a permanent fixture in Sri Lanka’s white-ball squads, representing the team across more than a decade. She has featured in three ICC Women’s Cricket World Cups (2009, 2013, and 2017). Across 70 ODIs, she has taken 36 wickets, with the best of 3/35, while her controlled swing and discipline have made her especially effective in the powerplay overs. Now entering her fourth World Cup campaign at the age of 40, Prabodhani’s impact extends far beyond statistics. With over a decade of international cricket behind her, she stands as one of the most capped players in Sri Lankan women’s history. Her composure under pressure, wealth of experience, and mentorship of younger bowlers makes her an invaluable asset — both as a bowler and as a guiding presence in the dressing room.
