Cricket West Indies (CWI) has solidified its quest for diversity and inclusive leadership in reaffirming the appointments of three successful women as Board of Directors.

The action is part of the organization’s continuing mission to provide sound governance and bring more diverse takes in astute decision-making at the prime level of cricket administration.
Along with the renewed President and Vice-President, Mrs. Debra Coryat-Patton of Trinidad & Tobago, Ms. Diann Campbell of Jamaica, and Mrs. Louise Victor-Frederick of Saint Lucia were endorsed as Independent Directors.
The massive step reflects Cricket West Indies’ continued commitment to its pioneering initiative of having three women on the Board at the same time for a second consecutive term.
Jamaica’s Diann Campbell cashes in with 30 years of professional experience in cricket administration, corporate governance, and strategic planning. With a strong base in human resource management and political studies, Campbell has played a pivotal job in moulding CWI’s long-term vision and operational efficiency.
Louise Victor-Frederick from Saint Lucia, a distinguished Chevening Scholar, continues to be a driving force in corporate affairs, branding, and public relations. Her broad experience in business communication and strategy reinforces the board’s strategic focus. In addition to her work at CWI, she also serves as the director at the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture.
Trinidad & Tobago’s Debra Coryat-Patton, a seasoned legal expert, returns to the board with her vast knowledge of law and corporate governance. As a practicing attorney specializing in employment law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance, her reappointment underscores CWI’s dedication to upholding strong governance and accountability standards.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is committed to strong leadership and diverse representation on its Board of Directors. In reaffirming its commitment to excellence and inclusivity, CWI has reiterated the appointment of three excellent women to its Board of Directors, recognizing their excellent contributions to the development and strategic planning of the organization.
Highlighting the significance of these reappointments, CWI President Dr. Kishore Shallow stated, “The reappointment of these outstanding women is a reflection of our deep and unwavering commitment to excellence in governance and gender inclusivity. This is not about tokenism, but a deliberate and ongoing effort to ensure that women’s leadership is not just acknowledged but actively embraced at every level.
“These women have played and will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of West Indies cricket, ensuring that we move beyond conversation and into meaningful, lasting action. We are also pleased to welcome back Mr. Hallam Nichols, a distinguished businessman whose influence and reach extend across the Caribbean and beyond, further strengthening the diverse expertise on our Board.”
With the sport of cricket constantly evolving, the respective leaders will be key drivers and influencers of policy direction, instilling the seeds for a dynamic and long-term cricketing setup.
