The competition will be held in a round-robin format, ensuring each team faces every other side once. Only the top two teams will advance to the main event in India, making every game a must-win encounter.

The six-team lineup brings together a mix of experienced Full Members and ambitious challengers. Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Ireland enter the competition after finishing between seventh and tenth in the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, missing out on direct qualification. Meanwhile, Scotland and Thailand earned their spots through the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings, making them dangerous underdogs.

Adding to the intensity, the Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Stadium will host all matches, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown.

With so much at stake, ICC CEO Geoff Allardice is looking forward to a tournament filled with competitive cricket, “The six teams are just one step away from the Women’s Cricket World Cup, and I am sure they would be all geared up for the competition. On behalf of the ICC, I would like to wish all the participating teams the very best of luck and hope to see some competitive cricket in Lahore as a build-up to the World Cup in India.”

The tournament begins with a high-stakes double-header on April 9, as Pakistan faces Ireland, and West Indies take on Scotland. The Bangladesh vs. Thailand match on April 10 could be a crucial fixture for both teams looking to make a strong start.
