The 16-year-old all-rounder in the 2024 Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy amassed 311 runs, at an average of 62.20 and a strike rate of 123.90, from 8 outings. She has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit and state tournaments for multiple seasons now and will be watched closely in this upcoming series. It is expected that she will carry the momentum into this series.
Parshavi Chopra
The 18-year-old leg-spinner, from 6 outings in the 2023 Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, bagged 11 wickets, including the best of 4/5, averaging 7.00 and maintaining an economy rate of 3.66. Parshavi has also featured in India’s premier T20 competition, bagging 3 wickets in 4 outings, and it is hoped she will spearhead this spin bowling attack, leading the wickets tally.
Jemma Botha
The 17-year-old batting all-rounder, leading up to this triangular series in the 2024-25 home domestic T20 games, registered scores of 23, 3, and 34, alongside bowling figures of 3/18, 1/26, and 0/25. In this series opener, while Jemma departed cheaply for 7, opening the batting, she did not have a bowl. She should be backed to find her footing and step up with big scores.
Fay Cowling
The teen pacer in the 2024-25 domestic T20 games didn’t find much success with the bat, while with the ball she returned figures of 2/18, 2/18, and 0/31. However, in a recent series against Ireland Under-19, she stepped up with bowling returns of 0/18, 3/3, 0/14, 1/23, and 1/24. Continuing in this form, she produced a 4/14 in this series opener and will be counted on for breakthroughs.
