Minnu Mani

The 25-year-old all-rounder in the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy secured 6 wickets from 7 outings but didn’t find much success with the bat. In the Challenger Trophy, Minnu’s returns continue to be ordinary, with scores of 3 (9), 36* (34), and 11 (13), and bowling returns of 0/20 (2), 1/16 (4), and 0/29 (3). She is a seasoned all-rounder and hopefully will step up her efforts.

Saranya Gadwal

The 24-year-old off-spinner had a bright start to the 2024-25 domestic season, taking 9 wickets from 8 outings, at an average of 17.55 and an economy rate of 5.44. In the Challenger Trophy opener, Saranya scored 28* (22), though she proved expensive with the ball, returning figures of 0/34 (4), and her subsequent returns read 3/20 (4) and 0/27 (3.3). She can be relied upon for breakthroughs.

Nandini Kashyap

The 20-year-old keeper-batter has been in outstanding form this domestic season, and in the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, she amassed 247 runs from 7 outings, at an average of 41.17 and a strike rate of 125.38. Nandini carried this form into the Challenger Trophy, returning figures of 48* (50) and 60 (45). She can be counted on for the runs, extending this purple patch.

Prakashika Naik

The 27-year-old leg-spinner in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy struck 13 wickets from 10 outings, at an economy rate of 5.12, last season. Prakashika didn’t have the best start to this domestic season; however, in the Challenger Trophy, she has produced bowling figures of 2/14 (4) and 1/20 (4) and can be relied upon to lead the wickets tally again this season, finding her bowling rhythm.

Pitch:

The Ranchi wicket is fairly balanced, offering runs for batters, as evidenced by a modest average score in the 140s. There is also a good amount of assistance for bowlers, especially spinners, who hold the upper hand on this track.
