Pooja Vastrakar completes 100 International Wickets for India

The 25-year-old pace bowling all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar hailing from Madhya Pradesh made her international debut on 10th February 2018 in an ODI against South Africa and 3 days later she made her T20I debut on 13th February 2018. She has completed 100 international wickets across formats.

In the ODI format, she has picked up 27 wickets at an average of 39.81 and an impressive economy of 5.56 in 31 innings. Her tally of wickets includes one four-wicket haul against New Zealand on 10th March 2022, when she returned with match figures (10-0-34-4) with the ball.

As far as the T20I format is concerned, she has picked up 58 wickets so far at an average of 21.41 and an economy of 6.39 in 66 innings with the ball. Her tally of wickets includes a couple of four-wicket hauls. Her best performance with the ball in the format came on 9th July 2024 when she returned with exceptional match figures (3.1-0-13-4) in her spell against South Africa.

In the red-ball format, she debuted on June 16, 2021, and has picked up 15 wickets at an average of 22.46 and an economy of 3.18 in 9 innings. Her tally of runs included one four-wicket haul against Australia on 21st December 2023 when she returned with match figures (16-2-53-4) in her spell.

India led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was up against Australia led by the stand-in skipper Tahlia McGrath in the absence of their regular skipper Alyssa Healy, who found herself struggling while batting in a run chase against Pakistan. She completed the landmark of 100 international wickets when she picked up the wicket of Ashleigh Gardner on the final ball of the 15th over of the innings and the 3rd over of her spell.
