Players to watch out:

Lily Bassingthwaighte

The teen all-rounder from Queensland, opening the batting, scored an impressive 65-ball 61*, including 6 boundaries, and picked up a wicket, conceding just 9 runs from her two overs in her only outing thus far. She had an impressive first outing with the Under-19 team, and it is hoped she continues in this form.

Juliette Morton

The teen spinner, from a couple of innings in an U19 tri-series earlier this year, produced bowling figures of 0/23 (2) and 2/12 (2). Juliette has further impressed in this series, scalping 3 wickets from as many outings, maintaining an economy rate of 3.78. Given her form, she can be relied upon for breakthroughs.

Sanjana Kavindi

The 15-year-old opening batter, in a U19 tri-series earlier this year on home soil, registered scores of 28, 8, 39, and 20. Carrying the momentum into this series, Sanjana registered a 38-ball 30 in the series opener, and though she departed cheaply for 6 in her subsequent outing, she can be relied upon for runs.

Pramudi Methsara

The teen pacer, in her first outing with the U19 team, produced outstanding bowling figures of 3/6 (3.3) and conceded 8 runs in her only over in the following game. From 2 outings, she has struck 3 wickets, averaging 4.67 and maintaining an economy rate of 3.11. She will be counted on to get back amongst the wickets.

Pitch:

The center wicket at the Bill Pippen Oval provides a well-balanced playing surface, promising a gripping contest between bat and ball. This is evident from the average score in the 130s, and bowlers, both pacers and spinners, benefit from the assistance off the pitch.

Weather:

The conditions are favorable for a game of cricket in Gold Coast, with partly cloudy skies, moderate winds, and a humidity level of 62%. The temperature is expected to range in the early 20s, and the likelihood of rain is minimal.
