In this article, we will review the performances of the Indian women players for their respective franchises in the recently concluded edition of The Hundred (Women’s).

Smriti Mandhana (Southern Brave):

The star Indian opener Smriti Mandhana represented Southern Brave in the fourth edition of The Hundred. It was her fourth consecutive season with the side, having been part of Southern Brave since the tournament’s inception. The left-handed batter had a modest tournament, scoring only 60 runs in the five matches she played, with her highest score being 42 against Trent Rockets. Mandhana’s subdued performance with the bat coincided with a challenging season for the defending champions, who managed to secure only one win in the tournament.

Richa Ghosh (Birmingham Phoenix):

It was the first season for the Indian wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh representing Birmingham Phoenix. Richa Ghosh was previously part of the London Spirit franchise in the 2023 season, which was her maiden season in The Hundred. Richa also had a modest tournament, scoring 62 runs in four innings. She started her campaign with nine runs against Southern Brave, followed by a duck against Northern Superchargers. Her highest score in the tournament of 41 off 36 balls had come against Trent Rockets.
