Trent Rockets defended a total of 156 to secure their third victory of the season, keeping themselves in playoff contention. Meanwhile, Southern Brave, who were already out of the playoff race, lost their fifth match of the ongoing edition.

Highlights of the Match:

1) Nat Sciver-Brunt 60* (37) (Trent Rockets)

The purple patch continues for the Trent Rockets skipper, who delivered yet another blazing performance with the bat. The English all-rounder came in to bat when her side had lost their second wicket at a score of 28. Nat Sciver-Brunt was involved in a 62-run stand for the third wicket alongside Grace Scrivens. Nat Sciver-brunt scored an unbeaten 60 off 37 balls to guide her team to a formidable total of 155. She is also the leading run-scorer in the tournament. For her unbeaten 60, she was awarded the Player of the Match.

2) Lauren Bell 3/36 (Southern Brave)

Lauren Bell was wicketless in the first three sets of the match against Trent Rockets. However, in the last set, the English pacer scalped three wickets. Her first victim was Heather Graham, whose stumps she dismantled, followed by Alana King on the next ball. Her third wicket came in the form of Katie George, which was also the last ball of the innings. She finished with figures of 3 for 36 in four sets.

3) Chloe Tryon 1/19 & 47* (Southern Brave)

Despite being on the losing side, Chloe Tryon put in an impressive all-round performance against Trent Rockets. Initially, with the ball, she claimed the wicket of Grace Scrivens through an LBW and finished with figures of 1/19 in two sets. With the bat, the Proteas all-rounder scored an unbeaten 47 off 31 balls, smashing four boundaries and two sixes during her innings.

4) Alexa Stonehouse 2/10 (Trent Rockets)

Alexa Stonehouse decimated Southern Brave’s top order with early breakthroughs for her side. The left-arm pacer first dismissed the Southern Brave opener Dani Wyatt for a golden duck, followed by a two-ball duck for Maia Bouchier after crushing her stumps. She was economical throughout the match, finishing with figures of 2 for 10 in three sets.
