Bio:
The 32-year-old veteran batter from Zimbabwe made her international debut on 5th January 2019 in a T20I against Namibia. She has scored 914 runs, at a strike rate of 109.19 and an impressive average of 26.88 in 42 innings. Her tally of runs includes a couple of half-centuries. Her best performance with the bat for Zimbabwe in the T20I format came on 20th April 2022 when she scored 80 runs at an impressive strike rate of 135.59 against Namibia. Her knock went in vain as Zimbabwe ended up on the losing side by 7 wickets and two balls to spare.
She made her ODI debut on 19th April 2023 against Thailand. She has scored 163 runs at a strike rate of 65.72 and an impressive average of 32.60 in six innings so far. Her tally of runs includes a couple of half-centuries. Her best performance with the bat in the ODI format came on 24th March 2024 when she stayed unbeaten on 71 runs, scoring at a strike rate of 67.61 against Papua New Guinea in the 1st ODI.
She played a crucial role in helping her side clinch a comprehensive 7-wicket victory with 67 balls to spare. She was also awarded the Player of the Match for her brilliant match-winning performance (71* off 105 balls) with the bat.
Mugeri-Tiripano captained the Zimbabwean national women’s team, leading them in various tournaments. However, in December 2018, she was replaced as captain by Mary-Anne Musonda. Off the field, she is married to Donald Tiripano, a player for the Zimbabwean men’s team, and they have a daughter named, Hearly Tiripano.
