Shivanti Gupta
The 29-year-old opening batter features for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket and, in her maiden outing in the competition, in the 2024 curtain raiser, stepped up as the leading run-scorer for the side with a blazing 30-ball 43, including 8 boundaries. Given the start she has had, it’ll be hoped she follows up with another good score.
Sonal Patil
The 27-year-old all-rounder in the 2023 edition, from 7 outings bagged 9 wickets, and added 118 runs from 6 innings to the tally. On the back of a quiet CAP-organized T10 tournament last month, though Sonal departed for a golden duck in the curtain raiser, her bowling returns read 1/13 (3). She’ll be backed to step up her efforts.
Yuvashri Karthikeyan
The 18-year-old promising all-rounder in the competition last year, while only posting 98 runs on the board from 6 outings and not having bowled, has had an outstanding start to her 2024 season. In the T20 season opener, she scored a 66-ball 86* and bagged figures of 3/27. She can be banked upon for all-round efforts.
Amruta Saran
The 20-year-old bowling all-rounder had a notable 2023 season, picking 4 wickets from 6 outings and chipping in with 63 runs from 5 innings. In the T20 season opener this edition, Amruta wasn’t required with the bat and produced bowling figures of 1/16 (4). She can be counted on for the goods.
Pitch:
The 22-yard strip at the venue provides a somewhat neutral playing field as the conditions are advantageous to both batters and bowlers. Spinners, in particular, benefit from these conditions, and a score in the 140s is considered competitive on this wicket.
