3rd T20I: List of Milestones and Records made during India vs South Africa Women

The Women in Blue hosted the Proteas from June 16 to July 9 for a multi-format tour. India dominated the three-match ODI series, winning 3-0, followed by a 10-wicket victory in the one-off Test. In the initial T20I, South Africa made a comeback, posting 189 runs and securing their maiden victory in the multi-format series by 12 runs. The second T20I was washed out due to rain, resulting in no outcome. In the final T20I and the last match of the multi-format tour, India won the toss and opted to field first. South Africa struggled, losing wickets regularly and posting a modest total of 84 runs in 17.1 overs, with Tazmin Brits being the top scorer with 20 runs off 23 balls. Pooja Vastrakar was the standout bowler for India, taking 4 wickets for just 13 runs in her 3.1 overs, while Radha Yadav contributed with 3 wickets for 6 runs in her 3 overs. Chasing a target of 85 runs, India’s openers, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, easily reached the target. Mandhana scored an unbeaten 54 off 40 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes, while Verma contributed 27 not out off 25 balls. India comfortably reached the target in 10.5 overs without losing a wicket, securing an emphatic 10-wicket victory, resulting in a tie in the T20I series at 1-1. Pooja Vastrakar was awarded the Player of the Match as well as the Player of the Series accolade for her consistent performance of claiming eight wickets throughout the three-match T20I series.
