Cara Murray is a prominent Irish cricketer known for her leg-spin bowling skills. Making her debut in both Women’s Twenty20 International cricket and Women’s One Day International cricket against New Zealand in June 2018. While her WODI debut saw her return to the best bowling figures in the format, she has since showcased her potential, notably taking five wickets against the Netherlands in 2022. Murray’s cricketing journey is complemented by her academic achievements, having completed a degree in Sports Studies at Ulster University in 2023.
Murray has taken 41 wickets in 25 innings, including a five-wicket haul and a six-wicket haul against Zimbabwe on 23rd Jan 2024. She has also scored 66 runs in 16 innings. In T20I cricket, she has claimed 28 wickets in 41 innings and scored 38 runs in 12 innings.
