The 2nd inning started with 2 maidens courtesy of debutant Titas Sadhu and pacer Shikha Pandey, this was the first such instance in the WPL, and the Gujarat Giants also lost the key wicket of Laura Wolvaardt with zero runs on board.

Gujarat Giants batters were able to get starts but weren’t able to convert them into a 50 or more score which eventually was not sufficient enough for the Gujarat team to chase down the target.

It was a clinical performance from the Delhi bowlers with amazing spells from Radha Yadav (4-0-20-3) who is also the purple cap holder now and Jess Jonassen(4-0-22-3). Delhi was able to close the match easily, winning it by 25 runs, and will play the rest of the matches in their home ground in Delhi.
