Bio:
The All-rounder hailing from Jharkhand represented the Gujarat Giants franchise in the previous edition of the WPL. She played 3 games last season before getting sidelined from the playing XI. She failed to capitalize on the chances that were presented to her and failed to make any more worthy contributions.
She has been a consistent contributor to the Jharkhand batting line-up. In the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023, Ashwani Kumari scored 153 runs in 7 games and averaged a steady 21.86 with the bat. She seemed lackluster with the ball in hand.
With a change of franchise she will be hoping for a change of fortunes too, she will be hoping to take the field and replicate her domestic performance on a more advanced stage.
