During the Sixers’ match against the Perth Scorchers at the WACA, Burns made a stunning save at the boundary. Alana King was on strike and she hit the ball towards the deep mid-wicket boundary.

Burns was standing at that position and grabbed hold of the ball but once she realized that she could run over the line she threw the ball up. She then quickly regained her balance and leaped in the air to catch the ball and prevent it from touching the boundary rope. Her incredible fielding effort helped to reduce a potential six to only two runs.

The Scorchers scored 166/8 in their 20 overs courtesy of two quick-fire innings by Alana King and Beth Mooney. In response, the Sixers managed to post only 130/9 as a result of excellent bowling spells by Amy Edgar, Sophie Devine, and King. None of the batters were able to perform besides captain Ellyse Perry who scored 59 off 48 balls.

The Sixers are currently at the bottom of the table with 4 losses in 5 games. They will need to make some serious changes to turn their campaign around. They will next be facing the Adelaide Strikers. On the other hand, the Scorchers are 4th on the points table with 6 points and a healthy net run rate of 0.928. They will next be facing the Melbourne Renegades.
