Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Middlesex County Cricket Club have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Pakistan Cricket Headquarters in Lahore.
Middlesex County Cricket Club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andrew Cornish, Director Alan Coleman, and their representative Mohsin Woriach were all part of the delegation that visited the Asian Country. The delegation met Zaka Ashraf, Chair of PCB’s Managing Committee, and the other PCB Officials.
During their 2-day visit, the delegation gave a presentation to the PCB officials when they visited the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. As per PCB’s press release, the two parties signed a MoU after both parties indicated a willingness to enter into a collaborative agreement.
One of the points mentioned in the MoU is that “Middlesex will work to develop and oversee training programs for women’s cricket teams operating under PCB, including the Pakistan national women’s team.”
This is going to be very crucial for Pakistan’s Women’s team, as the training method used overseas is quite different, and it will enhance the performances of players, as well as help in the recovery of players while being injured. One more point discussed in the MoU is “Organising training and educational programs, including but not limited to courses for coaches, analysts, umpires and curators/groundsmen with focus on the latest technologies in such training and education.”
PCB and Middlesex Cricket County Club also discussed the idea of potentially organizing exhibition matches between its teams. As per PCB’s Press Release, it read “Exploring the possibility of organizing exhibition matches in Pakistan and the UK between HBL PSL teams and teams under the control of Middlesex County Cricket Club.”
