The ongoing Tri-Series featuring hosts, South Africa, the West Indies, and India has re-ignited the race to the top spot in the Women’s Twenty20 International (T20I) bowling rankings as India’s Deepti Sharma and South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba hustle to get to the spot that England’s Sophie Ecclestone has held on for long enough now. Given below are the rankings gains for players from the recently concluded Australia-Pakistan series.
ICC Women’s Batters rankings:
South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt takes a 4-spot jump to 9th overall, while fellow opener, Tazmin Brits takes a 10-spot leap to 18th overall after a fine fifty against West Indies. Windies skipper, Hayley Matthews too has been in good touch and sees a 4-spot jump to 22nd overall.

Sophie Ecclestone’s lead at the top spot is down to a 26 points difference as Deepthi Sharma boosts to 737 points and not far being is Nonkululeko Mlaba with 732, the new 2nd and 3rd seeded with a rank boost each. India’s Rajeshwari Gayakwad with a 4-spot lead is up to 14th overall, while the Australian duo of Alana King with 12 places leap to 17th, and Darcie Brown with an 8-spot boost to 26th have been other notable movers.
Adding to the shuffles of the top 10 are English and Australian veterans, Katherine Sciver Brunt and Megan Schutt respectively. While the latter with a 6 places jump is back into the top 5, Katherine Sciver-Brunt with a two spots lead is currently seeded 6th.
