The 1st ODI saw Nattakan Chantam announce Thailand’s entry into ODI cricket with a fine 102(135) that helped the side post 243/9 on the board. The Netherlands in reply were bowled out for 134 as Onnicha Kamchomphu (3), Thipatcha Putthawong (2) and Suleeporn Laomi (2) starred with the ball. Thailand in their opening ODI with a 100-run win enjoyed an impressive debut.

The 2nd ODI saw Nattakan Chantham again top score with a 42 and starts from a few in Sornnarin Tippoch (19) and Nannapat Koncharoenkai (23) helped Thailand post 176. The Netherlands in reply had a good start as openers, Babette de Leede (36) and Sterre Kalis (54) top scored, before the middle order batters, Iris Zwilling and Frederique Overdijk, did a repair work post a collapse. A 2nd collapse saw the side bowled out for 168 falling 8 short in a gripping finish.

The 3rd ODI saw Nattakan Chantam again among the runs and this time around with a 55-run knock. Skipper, Naruemol Chaiwai top scored with a fine 65 and late runs from Rosenan Kanoh (38) saw Thailand post a competitive 227. Netherlands’ Babette de Leede (30) and skipper, Heather Siegers (32) top scored for the side in a 99-run thumping win with the Netherlands bowled out for 128. In the defence for the series win, Suleeporn Laomi (4) and Sornnarin Tippoch (3) were the top architects with the ball.

The 4th and final ODI saw the Netherlands batting first have Babette de Leede top score with a watchful 59 and handy runs from Robine Rijke (23), Gwen Bloemen (20) and Hannah Landheer (14) pushed Netherland to post 145 on board. In this Netherlands collapse, Nanthita Boonsukham emerged as the key architect with 4 to her name. Thailand in reply, yet again had Nattakan Chantam top score with a match-winning 68 and contributions from Banthida Leephattana (26), Nannapat Koncharoenkai (30*) and skipper, Naruemol Chaiwai (11*) proved enough for a 7-wicket win and a 4-0 series win.

The series panned out pretty much in expected lines with Nattakan Chantam being the top scorer rightly justifying her being the talking point in the build-up to the series and it really shouldn’t be surprising that Thailand on home turf with their quality bowling attack, repeatedly bowled the Netherland out cheaply to register a clean sweep series win in their debut series. A lot better and spirit fights were expected for the Netherlands, but wasn’t to be against Thailand.
