Players to watch out for
Nahida Akter:
She was the most economical bowler for Bangladesh in the first ODI against Zimbabwe. The left arm spinner claimed 3-2 in her 5.2 overs, including three maidens. She bowled tight lines and lengths, not allowing the batters to score freely of her.
Rumana Ahmed:
The right hand middle order bat led the run chase in the first ODI against Zimbabwe, scoring an unbeaten 16 off 20 balls, hitting three boundaries. She held the innings together and ensured there were no further hiccups on the road to achieve the target.
Precious Marange:
In the first ODI, Zimbabwe were bundled out for a paltry 48. Marange top scored with 17 runs off 30 balls, including three boundaries. The southpaw came in to bat at number seven. With the ball, the right arm seamer scalped 1-11 in her three overs.
Esther Mbofana:
The right arm seamer was one of the two bowlers to pick up a wicket against Bangladesh in the first ODI. She opened the bowling and accounted for 1-18 in her four overs. She made good use of the new ball and Zimbabwe will hope that she continues to do well going into the next couple of ODIs.
Weather
Though the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy all through the course of the match, the chance of precipitation is just 2%. The average temperatures will range between 29 and 30 degrees Celsius. Wind will blow from north-northeast during the first half of the game and from east-southeast in the latter half.
Pitch
Out of the 12 wickets to fall in the first ODI, eight were scalped by spinners, while four were picked by seamers, which suggests that the wicket could be more helpful to the slower bowlers than the quicker ones. Though only 97 runs were scored in the first ODI, the pitch is certainly better than the kind of score it produced.
