Scottish skipper Katheryn Bryce played for Watsonians first XI on the first weekend of July and expressed her happiness for being able to test herself against some of the most talented male counterparts in the CSL Eastern Premier Division.
Despite her team losing the match, the 21-year old played her part with both bat and ball scoring 25 runs and taking a wicket. The young player spent quite some time in the middle batting with professional Malusi Siboto from South Africa when he was on his way to 92-run knock. She also expressed her concerns over the disallowance for Scotland girls to play club cricket on Saturdays but was hopeful that traveling down to English countries with national team would help the young players to learn and improve further. Bryce’s younger sister Sarah Bryce, still in her teens, also plays for Watsonians club and was among headlines when she played in the Murgitroyd Masterton Trophy T20 event group stages.
