It was Kimmince who upload photos of her wedding and took the captions to thank everyone who made the event the best day of their lives. It was Harris who proposed Kimmince after she won the Women’s Big Bash League in 2018-19 season. Both the partners saw their team home and Harris got the winning runs of her bat for Brisbane Heat.

Along with the photos shared by Kimmince, she wrote a message that read “Thank you to everyone who made our wedding day the best day of our lives. To the bridesman and bridesmaid thank you for being our sidekicks. To all our family and friends who shared this day with us, we are truly grateful for all the love and good times we get to share with you”.

It has to be noted that Harris has played for Brisbane Heat in three seasons as part of the Women’s Big Bash League. However, her highest point for the franchise came when she got the winning four in the final of WBBL in the 2018-19 season. She got her first appearance for Queensland in the 2016-17 season. Kimmince has played 16 one day internationals for the Australian side. In these outings, she got a total of 79 runs and got 14 wickets.

In T20Is, she has played for Aussies in 42 matches and amassed 162 runs. She got 39 wickets as well. Moreover, she was listed as one of the members who toured England for 2019 women’s Ashes. Interestingly, it was in her second One-day International match that she got her first five-wicket haul. She was a member of the Aussie world cup winning side in the recent T20 world cup.

It is fascinating for fans to note that Kimmince and Harris are one of many same-sex couples in the current women’s cricket scene. Lea Tahuhu and Amy Sattherwaite are from the neighborhoods of the new couple. South African side has Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp. Australia itself has many same-sex couples. Megan Schutt and Jess Holyoake along with Jess Jonassen and Sarah Wearn are some of the known names of the game.

It is incredible to find that women are breaking, not only, the taboos on the field but off-field as well.
