Amidst the global pandemic, the world seems to have stopped. Factories, buses, trains, schools, everything routine seems to have vanished. Adding salt to the wound is the fact that, in order to prevent the mass gathering, all sporting events have been called off for a considerable future. However, people believe and know that this too shall pass.
The global community stands together to see a normal course establish in the near future. One of the inspiring updates makes its way from Pakistan. While causalities are making headlines all over the globe, a line from Pakistan gives hope to cricket fans. Coach of Pakistani women’s cricket team Iqbal Imam has started training his players online.
As players are following the lockdown post COVID, the coach has arranged online classes to oversee them during the unexpected break. Iqbal says that he is passing all his knowledge to the players. He adds that be it batting, bowling or even fielding, he wants to brief and train his players in this time. Alongside hitting the hanging ball, or taking catches, there are many stances of how he is keeping the women cricketers warm.
There are, also, step-by-step bowling and exercises that the players are advised for. Not only these recommendations, but the players will also have to record clips of their performance and send it to the coach. Alike all cricketing boards of the world, Pakistan has suspended cricketing actions of the near future for a time when the world shall come out of the pandemic.
Interestingly, Pakistani players have responded warmly to the efforts of their coach. They are uploading their clips while training on social media and are also challenging fellow mates. It has to be understood that steps like these can be vital in times when negativity flies all over. With players practicing for the future, fans and the world can get inspired and think of good times that are coming shortly.
