It was nothing to lose for both the teams. Pakistan being already eliminated, wanted to win against Thailand to go home without any regrets. Pakistan had already won against West Indies before losing to England and South Africa.

Thailand, on the other hand, took this game seriously as they knew it was their only chance to win. Previously, they had lost all the matches that they played in the world cup against West Indies, England, and South Africa. This win would have helped them take back good memories and inspire their nation’s cricket.

The first innings was worth watching, as Thailand put up a stunning score of 150 for 3. It was Thailand’s highest-ever T20I total, as they gave their opponents a surprise run chase of 151.

The player who stole hearts with her performance was Nattakan Chantam who individually scored 56 runs in 50 balls and became the first Thailand player to score a half-century in the T20 world cup.
