Barbados put in to bat first were off to a great start as Hayley Matthews and Aaliyah Alleyne got going well. At halfway stage, Barbados had 42 runs on board and had just lost the wicket of Matthews on 15(13). Anisa in the very next over created a double impact by handing Chloe Tryon a duck and dismissing Alleyne on 23(18). Chinelle Henry’s 15(11) helped Barbados get some sort of a push as Qiana Joseph departed without disturbing the scoring and Britney Cooper on 6(9) was the last to walk back as the team having lost 6 wickets were bowled out for 65 runs in 9.2 overs of play. Anisa Mohammed and Sune Luus finished with the best and identical figures of 2-0-11-2.

Trinbago Knight Riders in reply had a poor start as they lost both their openers in the 2nd over to Qiana Joseph as she dismissed Lee-Ann Kirby on 4(3) and Deandra Dottin on 7(7). It wasn’t long before the side lost their 3rd as Natasha McLean’s defensive stay on 3(9) saw curtains and the side at halfway stage were 27/3. The boundaries had dried up and the ones and twos helped Knight Riders’ scorecard move. Shakera Selman in the penultimate over picked up 3 wickets dismissing Hayley Jensen on 7(13), Sune Luus on 17(18), and Kycia Knight on 2(3) to bowl Knights out for 50 and hand her side, Barbados Royals a win in the contest by 15 runs. Shakera Selman finished with the best figures of 2-0-10-3 and Fatima Sana delivered the most economical spell of 2-0-7-0.
