Glamorgan County Cricket Club have confirmed that Daisy Jeanes, Megan McColl and Gemma Porter have signed one-year deals ahead of the 2027 season. All three played important roles in Glamorgan’s 2026 Tier Two campaign. The squad won the Women’s T20 Blast and reached the One-Day Cup final. Jeanes and Porter had also been important during the 2025 campaign, giving the group continuity. Their contracts reward their performances and mark another step in Glamorgan’s programme.

Jeanes, a right-hand opening batter, has been a dependable presence at the top of the order over the last two seasons. She has provided stability while showing intent during powerplay situations. Her consistency and ability to build strong platforms have made her an important part of Glamorgan’s white-ball side. Porter, an off-spin bowling all-rounder, also made progress during 2026. She produced spells in the middle overs and added crucial runs in the middle order, showing her value in more than one role.
McColl, a right-hand middle-order batter, joins after a standout 2026 season that included representing Scotland at the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales. Her international experience gives Glamorgan a player who has already performed on a major stage. Her power through the middle overs also adds strength to the batting group. Together, the three signings support Glamorgan’s plan to build a competitive and sustainable women’s programme. The club is developing players who have shown quality at Tier Two level and beyond.
Glamorgan’s Head of Women & Girls Cricket, Aimee Rees, said: “It is fantastic to see Gemma, Daisy and Megan rewarded with their first professional contracts with Glamorgan. One of our key objectives has been to create a clear pathway for players from our Tier 2 programme to progress into the 2027 Tier 1 squad, and these contracts are an important reflection of that work. Rachel Priest, together with the coaching and support staff, all deserve great credit for creating an environment in which these players can develop, perform, and take the next step in their careers.
Gemma and Daisy have both played an important part in the success we have enjoyed in Tier 2 over the past two seasons. They have consistently shown their ability and commitment, and it is great to see them now take this next step into professional cricket. “Megan, who joined us at the start of the 2026 season, will take up a dual contract with Glamorgan and Cricket Scotland. She is an exciting prospect who has already gained valuable international experience, including representing Scotland at the T20 World Cup this summer.”
The new deals give all three an opportunity to continue developing as Glamorgan prepare for the 2027 season. Jeanes and Porter bring experience from the previous two campaigns, while McColl adds international experience from Scotland. Her dual contract will see her represent both Glamorgan and Cricket Scotland. The signings also reflect the club’s pathway from its Tier 2 programme into the 2027 Tier 1 squad. Glamorgan Cricket looks forward to seeing Jeanes, McColl and Porter continue their development and contribute for the club in the season ahead.
