The Vancouver Anchors have announced their 15-player squad for the second edition of the Canada Women’s Super60, a high-octane T10 tournament set to roar back into action from 29 September to 4 October 2026 at the iconic indoor BC Place Stadium in Vancouver. With the league’s player draft concluded in late July 2026, the Anchors are gearing up to challenge the defending champions, the Toronto Sixers, in what promises to be a fierce two-team rivalry.

The Canada Women’s Super60 returns for its sophomore season after a successful inaugural campaign that saw the Toronto Sixers, led by West Indies star Deandra Dottin, clinch the title with a 2-1 series win over the Vancouver Thunderbirds. The fast-paced 10-overs-a-side format, designed for maximum entertainment, will once again transform BC Place into a cauldron of power-hitting, sharp fielding, and tactical bowling.

This season, the Vancouver franchise, now branded as the Anchors, has assembled a balanced squad blending international experience with emerging domestic talent. The lineup features Pakistan all-rounder Fatima Sana, whose ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes her a pivotal figure in the middle order. Australia’s Laura Harris, known for her explosive batting in domestic T20 competitions, adds further firepower to the top order.

The Anchors’ bowling attack is spearheaded by Grace Ballinger, an English medium-pacer with a knack for picking up early wickets. The squad also includes Davina Perrin, whose composure under pressure and ability to rotate strike will be vital in the T10 format’s quick-fire overs.

With only two teams in the competition, every match carries heightened stakes, and the Anchors will be eager to overturn the narrative from Season 1, when the Thunderbirds fell short against the Sixers. The tournament’s compact structure also amplifies the importance of the player draft, which concluded in July 2026, ensuring both franchises have had ample time to strategise and build cohesive units. For the Anchors, the blend of international exposure and homegrown talent could be the X-factor in dethroning the Sixers and claiming the Super60 crown.

Beyond the on-field action, the Canada Women’s Super60 continues to serve as a vital platform for showcasing women’s cricket in Canada. By staging the event at a world-class venue like BC Place, the league underscores its commitment to visibility, professionalism, and growth for the women’s game in the region.

As the Anchors prepare to take the field, all eyes will be on whether their newly minted squad can harness the momentum of Season 2 and deliver a championship performance against the formidable Toronto Sixers.
