It is understood that the squad was taken down because the ACC had not yet officially announced the tournament, making the early release premature.
For the participating players, the Women’s Asia Cup will be an important event in an already busy international calendar. The tournament is expected to provide valuable match practice and competitive cricket just days before another major multi-sport event begins. It will also give every team a chance to prepare against quality opposition before another important international competition.
Soon after the Asia Cup concludes, attention will shift to the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.
