The home side, Southern Brave, led by skipper Sophie Molineux, were up against Birmingham Phoenix, led by skipper Ellyse Perry, at the Rose Bowl, Southampton, in the 13th match of the ongoing 6th edition of the Women’s Hundred 2026 on 30th July 2026.

Fatima Sana replaced Kayla Reyneke in the side for the Birmingham Phoenix in the starting 11. The Southern Brave retained the same side that took the field in their previous clash.
The Birmingham Phoenix skipper Ellyse Perry won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Southern Brave openers Maia Bouchier and the wicket-keeper batter Lizelle Lee got their side off to a solid start, as they proactively took the attack to the opposition bowlers, Lizelle Lee in particular, en route to their 68-run opening stand.
Alice Capsey broke the stand, by sending the ominous Lizelle Lee (43 off 28 balls) back to the pavilion in the 10th set of the innings to provide the first breakthrough for the Birmingham Phoenix. Laura Wolvaardt joined Maia Bouchier at the crease, and Bouchier switched gears en route to another crucial 29-run stand for the 2nd wicket, which took them closer to the 100-run mark.
Lauren Filer cleaned up Maia Bouchier (45 off 31 balls) in the 13th set of the innings to provide the 2nd breakthrough for her side. Jemimah Rodrigues (28* off 18 balls) cameo towards the backend of the innings pushed the total to the 140-run mark, as the home side posted a total of 140/3 in their quota of 100 deliveries. Lauren Filer (15-8-22-1), Alana King (20-6-23-1), and Alice Capsey (20-8-23-1) were the only wicket-takers with the ball for Birmingham. Linsey Smith (20-7-23-0) was impressive with the ball for her side.
Chasing a target of 141, the Birmingham Phoenix openers Tammy Beaumont and Davina Perrin got their side off to a solid start with a massive 73-run opening stand. The left-arm spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman broke the stand, by sending Tammy Beaumont (22 off 23 balls) back to the pavilion in the 12th set of the innings to provide the first breakthrough for Southern Brave.
The Phoenix batters were unable to capitalise on the solid platform provided by the openers. The home side pounced on the opening, chipping away with strikes at regular intervals. As a result, the visitors were unable to regain momentum in the run chase. The Birmingham Phoenix were eventually restricted to 116/5 in their quota of 100 deliveries, falling 24 runs short of the target.
Davina Perrin (52 off 43 balls) registered an impressive half-century. Her knock included 5 boundaries. Skipper Ellyse Perry (16* off 11 balls) was left stranded at the non-strikers’ end towards the backend of the run chase. Sophie Molineux (20-7-24-2), Tilly Corteen-Coleman (20-5-19-1), Sarah Glenn (20-3-27-1), and Lauren Bell (20-8-16-1) were impressive with the ball for Southern Brave.
The wicket-keeper batter Lizelle Lee was awarded the Player of the Match for her impressive knock, 43 off 28 balls, playing a crucial role as Southern Brave extended their lead at the top of the points table with four wins from four games, accounting for 16 points already in their campaign.
