Strong support came from Michelle Mavunga, who picked up 2 wickets for 13 runs in her 3 overs, and all-rounder Nyasha Gwanzura, who also claimed 2 wickets for 19 runs in 3 overs. Among the wicketless bowlers, captain Adel Zimunu was steady with figures of 0 for 17 in 3 overs, while Salem Museka bowled a full quota of 4 overs, giving away 25 runs. Lindokuhle Mabhero was the most expensive bowler on display, conceding 19 runs from her 2 overs.

Conversely, everything went wrong for the Brazil Women as their bowling attack proved too expensive, while their batting unit suffered a massive lower-order collapse, failing to support a lone fighting knock of 48 by captain Laura Cardoso.
