Myanmar Women delivered a commanding all-round performance to register a massive 102-run victory over Mongolia Women in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2026 at Bangi. After opting to bat first, Myanmar Women produced a fluent batting display led by an unbeaten half-century from Zon Lin and a brilliant knock from Khin Myat, before their bowlers dismantled the Mongolian batting line-up to secure one of the most convincing wins of the tournament.

The innings began positively for Myanmar Women as openers Khin Myat and captain Theint Soe laid a solid foundation. The pair rotated the strike effectively while punishing loose deliveries, ensuring Mongolia’s bowlers were unable to build early pressure. Their opening partnership added 96 runs, giving Myanmar complete control of the contest. The first breakthrough finally came in the 10.5th over when Theint Soe was run out after an important contribution of 31 runs from 28 balls, an innings that included two boundaries. By then, however, Myanmar had already established a platform from which they could accelerate.
While wickets remained scarce for Mongolia, Khin Myat continued to dominate proceedings. The aggressive batter struck 68 runs from 57 deliveries, smashing nine fours and one six at a strike rate of 119.29. Unfortunately for Myanmar, she retired hurt after playing a match-defining knock, but the damage had already been done. Her innings ensured the momentum remained firmly with her side heading into the final phase.
Following Khin Myat’s departure, Zon Lin took centre stage with a sparkling unbeaten innings. She played with tremendous intent, finding boundaries regularly and keeping the scoreboard moving. Zon Lin remained not out on 51 from just 31 balls, featuring eight fours and scoring at a strike rate of 164.51. She shared an unbroken 86-run partnership with May San, who contributed a useful 12 not out from 9 balls. The duo accelerated brilliantly in the death overs, taking advantage of Mongolia’s tiring attack. Their partnership ensured Myanmar finished strongly at 182/1 in 20 overs, scoring at an impressive run rate of 9.10.
For Mongolia Women, wickets were hard to come by. Battur Unenchtseceg was the most economical bowler, returning figures of 0/21 from 4 overs and claiming the lone wicket of the innings. Uugansuvd Bayarjavkhlan conceded 29 runs in her four overs, while Oyunsuvd Amarjargal gave away 36 runs and Myagmarzaya Batnasan also leaked 36 runs. Damdinsuren Enkhtsetseg, Javzandulam Tugsjargal, and Sunjidmaa Phillips chipped in with overs but struggled to contain the aggressive Myanmar batting unit.
Chasing a daunting target of 183, Mongolia Women never found the momentum required for such a large pursuit. The innings got off to a shaky start when Nomin-Erdene Erdenebat fell for 5, leaving the score at 5/1. The pressure mounted further as Myanmar’s bowlers continued to strike at regular intervals. Batjargal Ichinkhorloo fought hard for her 24 off 35 balls, while Javzandulam Tugsjargal added 14 from 32 deliveries, but neither could accelerate against the disciplined Myanmar attack.
The middle order failed to provide resistance as wickets kept tumbling. Oyunsuvd Amarjargal managed only 4, captain Uugansuvd Bayarjavkhlan scored 7, and Myagmarzaya Batnasan contributed a quick 12 from 8 balls with two boundaries. However, no substantial partnerships developed. Mongolia’s best stand came between Batjargal Ichinkhorloo and Javzandulam Tugsjargal, but the scoring rate remained far below the required mark. From 54/4, the innings quickly slipped to 69/6, then 75/9, highlighting Myanmar’s complete dominance with the ball.
Myanmar’s bowling unit shared the wickets evenly. Wa Thone Nadi produced a superb spell of 1/5 in 3 overs, while Zar Win claimed 3 wickets for 28 runs in four overs to emerge as the most successful wicket-taker. May San was exceptionally economical, delivering four overs for just 10 runs. Theint Soe picked up 1/3 in 2 overs, Lin Lin Tun returned 1/5 from 2 overs, and Shwe Yee Win added another wicket. Pan Ei Phyu also bowled a tidy over without conceding a run. Their collective effort restricted Mongolia Women to 80/9 in 20 overs, sealing a comprehensive victory.
With both bat and ball firing in unison, Myanmar Women showcased why they are among the strongest teams in the competition. The outstanding contributions from Khin Myat (68 retired hurt) and Zon Lin (51 off 31)* laid the foundation, while the bowlers executed their plans brilliantly to complete a dominant 102-run win. The result provides Myanmar Women with valuable momentum in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2026, while Mongolia Women will look to regroup and improve their batting performance in upcoming fixtures.
