ICC Names Mithali Raj, Isa Guha and Nasser Hussain in Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Commentary Panel

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced an extensive and high-profile commentary team for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, bringing together former World Cup winners, international captains, renowned broadcasters and some of the most respected voices in world cricket ahead of the tournament in England.

The 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will begin on June 12 with hosts England taking on Sri Lanka at Edgbaston, while the final is scheduled to be played at Lord’s on July 5. A total of 33 matches will be played across the tournament, which is expected to be the biggest Women’s T20 World Cup to date.

The commentary panel features a strong female presence, reflecting the continued growth and visibility of women’s cricket globally. Among the most notable names are former Australia stars Mel Jones and Julia Price, both members of Australia’s World Cup-winning teams. Former West Indies all-rounder Stacy-Ann King, who was part of the Caribbean side’s T20 World Cup triumph, also joins the broadcast team. England World Cup winners Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford-Brent, who were members of the squad that won both the 2009 Women’s T20 World Cup and the 2009 ODI World Cup, will provide expert analysis throughout the event.

The panel also includes several leading voices from the men’s game. Former England captain Nasser Hussain, veteran broadcasters Ian Bishop and Ian Smith, and former Australia opener Matthew Hayden headline a distinguished group of commentators. Former India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik and West Indies hero Carlos Brathwaite, both T20 World Cup winners, are also part of the coverage team.

Former India captain Mithali Raj, ex-India batter Anjum Chopra, Pakistan great Sana Mir, Ireland legend Isobel Joyce, former New Zealand wicketkeeper Katey Martin, Veda Krishnamurthy, Simon Doull and Tash Farrant further strengthen the commentary line-up.

Presenters and broadcasters Charles Dagnall, Natalie Germanos, Alan Wilkins, Laura McGoldrick, Jatin Sapru, Kass Naidoo, Raunak Kapoor and Ali Mitchell will also feature prominently during the tournament.

Speaking after the announcement, former Australia cricketer Mel Jones described the tournament as a landmark moment for the women’s game. “This is the biggest ICC Women’s T20 World Cup ever, and it feels like a real milestone for the game.
