Jannillea Glasgow is one of the brightest young talents in West Indies cricket. Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, she first came into prominence through age-group cricket, where a five-wicket haul in regional Under-19 competition showcased her potential as a fast-bowling all-rounder. Her performances earned her a place in Cricket West Indies’ high-performance programme in 2021 before she progressed to the West Indies A side later that year. A left-handed batter capable of contributing in the middle order and a useful seam-bowling option, Glasgow has steadily developed into a versatile white-ball cricketer.
Jannillea Glasgow’s International Career
Glasgow made her T20I debut against India during the tri-series in South Africa in January 2023 after spending time around the senior squad as a reserve for the 2022 Women’s World Cup. While initially viewed primarily as a bowling prospect, she has impressed with her batting contributions at international level. Ahead of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, she has scored 205 runs in 19 T20Is at an average of 20.50 and strike rate of 106.21, including an unbeaten half-century. Her recent form has been particularly encouraging, with innings of 42 against Pakistan and 36 against Ireland highlighting her growing confidence in the middle order. With the ball, she has taken three wickets in T20Is, including career-best figures of 3 for 15.
