Ayesha Zafar is a Pakistan women’s cricketer who plays as an opening batter. She was born in Sialkot and is known for batting in a calm and steady way at the top of the order.
She started playing domestic cricket at a young age and played for teams like Karachi, Sindh, Saif Sports Saga, and State Bank of Pakistan. Her strong performances in domestic cricket helped her get selected for the Pakistan national team in 2015.
Ayesha made her ODI debut against West Indies in October 2015. A few days later, she made her T20I debut against the same team.

Ayesha has played 32 T20Is and scored 467 runs. She hasn’t struggled to cement her place in the team, playing only 9 games from 2021 to 2024. After being dropped from the team, she returned in 2026 and has every bit promising. One of the biggest moments of her career came in May 2026 when she scored an unbeaten 102 against Zimbabwe in Karachi.
It was her first international hundred and marks her as just the 2nd Pakistan women to get to triple figures in the format. In the next match of the Zimbabwe series, she also scored 45 runs. She is known for giving Pakistan steady starts and also likes to spend time at the crease and build partnerships.
She can also bowl part-time spin when needed. In T20Is, she has taken 3 wickets with her off-break and leg-break bowling.

Ayesha Zafar has been in good form leading upto the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. During the T20I series against Zimbabwe in May 2026, she scored a match-winning unbeaten hundred and looked confident while batting. Pakistan further fine-tune ahead of the World Cup, facing Ireland and West Indies in a T20I Tri-Series.
